The Perennial Bestseller

Learn to Write
and Launch Your Own Book

Led by real bestselling authors (NY Times, WSJ, Publisher’s Weekly, USA Today), Michael Port and Mike Michalowicz, this exclusive, four-day writers’ retreat is the last step in your progression toward living the dream and reaping the rewards of writing and publishing your own bestseller—finally.

You have the opportunity to change
the world, permanently.

Why would you wait another single second?

Books can change lives, fortunes, happiness. Think about it... what classic books have changed your perception of life? The E-Myth, How To Win Friends & Influence People? Or perhaps it was passages of the Bible or the moving lessons in Don Quixote.

Or maybe it was Book Yourself Solid, or Profit First, or The Pumpkin Plan, or The Think Big Manifesto, or The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur or Steal the Show.

You have a world of knowledge and experience to share. You have the ability to change the world in the way you have always intended. It just requires that bold step.

Wait. You’re not sure HOW to start?

Between the two of us, we’ve written ten. We have touched over 900,000 lives through our books alone. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people we’ve reached through speaking (based on our books). We have translated being an author into building a personal brand. We’ve done it. And we are going to walk you hand in hand through the process to do the same (or bigger).

We’ve got your back.

These are NOT stock photos. We’ve secured two luxury estates in Orlando for you to relax, rejuvenate, and write in comfort (don’t worry, we’re paying all the fees). You’ll dive deep into your big idea--you know, the one you’ve been wishing and hoping and crossing your fingers really, really tightly to write...but either don’t know how to start or have started but haven’t finished?

You’ll turn that wish (read: dream) into action. You’ll leave with an outline for a book proposal, title, table of contents and synopsis for your book, and a marketing plan to sell the thing to high heaven! We’ll make it easy and give you our book proposals and marketing plans (yes, the ones that secured 6 figure advances and sold hundreds of thousands of books).

You will even write part of your book during the event (writing is the easy part — we didn’t think of ourselves as writers before we started writing books — but only if you do the road map first).

You’ll live with an exclusive group of other voracious, soon-to-be published authors, all with the passion and dedication to take their businesses to unchartered territory.

But, perhaps most importantly, you will have access to Michael Port and Mike Michalowicz all morning, all day, and all night long.

Inspiration and life-changing knowledge happens in flashes, in moments. In addition to intensive training, the second a question hits you...the answer will be there. And who knows, that one thought conveyed during an evening game of horseshoes, or while cooking the one moment that makes you the author you have always dreamed up.

You need this.

Go on, check your schedule:

Orlando, Florida. 2017.
Arrive in the afternoon on January 25
and depart at noon on January 29.

(A perfect escape toward warmer weather)

  • Envisioned yourself as a thought leader, a popular keynote speaker and a mainstream author... but just haven’t figured out how to do that yet.
  • Tried writing a book, but got overwhelmed at where to even start.
  • Desired to move your business forward, but kept getting passed over by larger speaking opportunities because people didn’t know your name or what you’re capable of producing.
  • Pitched your writing goals and business ideas to others, but felt like they couldn’t support you in the way that you needed support.
  • Tried typical, online book writing courses that left you feeling uninspired and without results.
  • Needed a committed push to devote time and energy to what you’d actually like to say on the page.
  • Felt uneasy understanding which publisher was right for you--if any, at all.
  • Panicked over how to organize your content in a way that actually SELLS books.
  • Wondered why so many people name their children Michael.

...then this retreat is for YOU.

There are lots of deals and events that pack people into hotel rooms that will offer you a program you can use to self-publish a book. Though these attendees might go on and self-publish their work, these books tend to collect more dust than actual readers--and, therefore: less sales, less money, and less business opportunities.

There aren’t too many places you can sit down with actual bestselling authors (FYI, being a bestseller in a category on Amazon does not, in fact, make you a bestseller) and discuss how to get on a bestsellers list...a real bestsellers list. And there surely aren’t opportunities to work hand-in-hand with the bestselling authors who will guide you to do exactly what they have done.

We imagine you’d prefer to sit down, face-to-face, shoulder-to-shoulder and get step-by-step guidance on how to publish your book directly from us. Would you like us to tell you if your title works, if your content is going in the right direction? Heck, we may even come up with a killer title for you!

This may sound off topic at first blush, but hear us out. If you wanted to perform heart surgery on someone (we know, weird, but stay with us) you have a few paths you could take. First, you could learn and master the skill via trial and error. It will take time. There will surely be many, many victims. And due to the failures you are guaranteed to have (not to mention the lawsuits) you will likely give up fast.

Of course you could go through traditional schooling as an alternative. You would invest $600,000 and spend 7 to 8 years in traditional medical schooling. It is a long, expensive path. You will spend a lot of time doing unnecessary training - math, literature, gym class - all mandatory for traditional schooling but not in direct support of your end goal. In fact most college graduates use less than 3% of what they learned in their actual vocation.

But there is one more path. You could go right to one of the world’s best heart surgeons and have him teach you, hand-in-hand, each step to performing heart surgery. The learning time for you will be cut down from years to days or months. The cost of $600,000 or more of traditional schooling would be replaced by something that is like 90% or 95% less expensive.

All the paths work, we just believe there is only one path that gets you quickly to your end goal, with the lowest investment. Always get hand-in-hand training from the masters. Always.

You don’t need to be Hemingway. Or Frost. Or Dickens. Heck, you don’t even need to know who they are. We’re writing bestselling books, not bestwriting books:
material that can help you advance in your field while getting your message out there to the world.

Besides, the three guys listed above had more success in their writing careers after they died. And you want to experience all the world has to offer as a successful author—while you’re alive! Hop on board! Let’s live it up in style and success.

If you don’t know who we are, we won’t hold it against you. But, if you’ve read books in the business space, you probably do.

Michael Port has written six books, including Book Yourself Solid and Steal the Show, the latter which—according to the former President of Starbucks—“might be the most unique and practical book ever written on the topic of public speaking.”

He's been called an “uncommonly honest author" by the Boston Globe, a "marketing guru" by The Wall Street Journal, a “sales guru” by the Financial Times, “a public speaking phenom” by Jonathan Fields and “the best public speaking coach in the world” by Lewis Howes. And, the founder of MastermindTalks, Jayson Gaignard, declared, "Michael Port is the best speaker I've ever seen."

His books have been on the bestseller lists of the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Publisher's Weekly and have been selected by Amazon and 800-CEO-READ as "best books of the year."

He was once a professional actor, having received his MFA from NYU's Graduate Acting Program, guest starring on shows like Sex & The City and Law & Order, and in films like The Pelican Brief and Down to Earth. These days, Michael can be seen on MSNBC, CNBC, and PBS as an on air expert in communication and business development and as the host of the most popular podcast on public speaking and performance, Steal the Show with Michael Port.

The author of The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur (2008), The Pumpkin Plan (2012), Profit First (2014), and Surge (Coming Spring 2016), Mike Michalowicz launched three multi-million dollar companies before his 35th birthday, was awarded the NJ SBA’s Young Entrepreneur of The Year when he was 26 and sold his first company to private equity and his second firm to a Fortune 500.

Mike is a former small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal and is currently an active partner in multiple companies (one of the hidden benefits of being an author), including an American manufacturer, an augmented reality tech firm, and a certification organization for accountants, bookkeepers and business coaches.

He's a multi-time speaker for the prestigious TED platform and is a regular 5-star keynote speaker for business associations, entrepreneurial organizations, and corporations around the world. Imagine a camp for grown-ups … but with air conditioning, real mattresses, and no painful singalongs (but you never know). This retreat is “glamping” at its finest. Yes, we said glamping.

For your pleasure, we rented two Orlando mansions. The homes are a stone’s throw away from each other, so we’ll essentially have our own compound. All of the attendees will be staying at the homes, and rooms will be assigned on a first-enrolled basis. So, don’t delay or you’ll be staying in the garage.

Not only are the bedrooms luxurious, the homes boast gyms, heated swimming pools, and movie theaters (yes, movie theaters). You’ll feel relaxed and pampered enough to focus on what matters most: getting you one step (or really, several steps) closer to being a perennial bestselling author.

Chef Bai (Bailey Jeann Ruskus) grew up in Boulder, Colorado with a desire from the beginning to nourish people with cuisine. She received a degree at the California Culinary Academy, as well as became an Integrative Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Through her experience working in a number of fine dining restaurants and private kitchens, she noticed that the industry was seriously lacking a passion and deeper understanding for clean, responsible food. While knowing that proper cuisine will always be based on love and traditions, she decided to bridge the gap between comfort food and health.

Chef Bai is now based out of San Diego, CA and has made it her life’s mission to source food from local and sustainable companies to educate the public on making clean eating an everyday reality.

  • “I signed up for the Perennial Bestseller Retreat to jumpstart a major new book project, and I was amazed by how much we accomplished. Michael and Mike brought powerful and very different insights that helped me crystallize my concept and project plan. The retreat was a great balance between focusing on our content and learning the inside tricks of the trade. Mike and Michael brought first-hand knowledge of both self-publishing and working with a publisher.

  • “I decided to attend the retreat because I: a) love and adore Michael and HIS perennial bestseller, Book Yourself Solid, which allowed me to become introduced to his work, and b) had already started planning and writing my first book. I knew that I had a killer idea on my hands, and I've always known that I wanted to write a book, but I also knew I needed support to get it done right.

  • “I attended the Perennial Bestseller Book Retreat because I want to write a book that will change the world. Make it more human. Help bring people who are drifting through life on auto-pilot fully alive. Because I have a big dream, I knew I couldn’t do this alone. I knew I needed to work with the best, and not just the best technically, or people who had the best contacts: Michael Port and Mike Michalowicz, two people who embody the transformation I am seeking in this world. What happened at the retreat was magic. Sunsets out the window. Gourmet organic food.

  • “The Perennial Bestseller Retreat was not only everything that was promised, but so much more. I received the tools, the vision and the plan to get my book published. Michael and Mike were incredibly transparent and giving of their knowledge, basically short-cutting the journey from paper to published. Their styles are completely different, yet oh, so complementary.

Then shortly after the retreat was announced, I had the opportunity to sit down with Mike Michalowicz and talk about what I wanted to write a book about. His enthusiasm and ability to grasp the concept and develop ideas, on the spot convinced me to sign up.

  • "Through the Perennial Bestseller Retreat, I gained security that I had seen the full scope of what was involved in publishing a book. In particular, it was eye opening and memorable to learn that writing the book is only 50% of the work and that the other 50% is marketing that I have to be ready and willing to do.

THIS OPPORTUNITY MIGHT NOT BE OFFERED AGAIN, due to our busy schedules. And, that’s not hype. You know full well that we run multiple companies and have core offerings that take most of our time. We’ve published several bestsellers, so we’re constantly booked.

This retreat is something we’ve only offered once before by popular request from our best clients and a real need in the marketplace. As mentioned previously, you can join farm-like programs on self-publishing but there is nothing like sitting down with us in a very small group for five days in such a luxurious, relaxing environment. We’ve both discovered, over time, that we (and you) will do the most productive work if it’s also coupled with stress relieving activities and supportive people.

What Does an Opportunity
Like this Usually Cost?

  • Five days at a sprawling mansion with private chef services: $16,000
  • Five days of private coaching from Michael: $120,000
  • Five days of private coaching with Mike: $120,000
  • Building content for your book and learning the ins and outs of the publishing industry: potentially millions to you (as it has done for us).
  • A strong, long lasting network of people with desires to build their businesses through writing books: PRICELESS

All of these items add up to the sum of a medical student’s college loans.

10 for Michael’s clients and 10 for Mike’s clients,
so you can see spots are extremely limited.
